So, at work, they just moved us to an "Open layout" plan, where an entire floor of over 100 people has very few separating walls. I've been using a DT770m, which worked OK before when I was working in an open room with only a dozen people in it, but now I'm dealing with 100+. I'm sensitive to sound to begin with, so I need something that can block out as much of the noise as possible, and is also comfortable enough to wear for 8+ hours a day. The noise is mostly conversations and sudden sharp noises (they also use glass tables).

Up to $500, but better sound isolating takes precedence over sound quality. I'd (obviously) like both, though.

Looking for full-sized headphones, only. No IEMs, as I just can't wear those for 8 hours plus.

You might want to consider active noise cancellation headphones for maximum isolation: http://www.innerfidelity.com/content/innerfidelitys-wall-fame-noise-canceling
