I have never had a really good pair of headphones before and I'm looking to make my first foray into higher end headphones.
I have been using just some bad earbuds that come with whatever I have. However when I got the new iPod and the earbuds that came with it, I was really surprised at the difference between them and what I had been using, so now I'm looking to upgrade to something that sounds great. I have tried the different designs and I'm pretty sure I want Over-Ear. I will also be listening on basically just my iPod so from what I have read I want something "forgiving" of the bad input. I listen to all sorts of music so I want something that sounds generally good, I like bass but not overpowering.
The large selection makes this pretty confusing, I was looking at this, audio-technica-ath-m50s because it had so many good reviews, but then I read this, Overhyped piece of junk.
Basically I'm a noob and I need advice on what to get.
