Hey guys,

I'm looking to buy my first amp, here's my setup:

iPhone 3G
NuForce NE-7M
Listen mostly to pop, alt. rock

Amp requirements:
Limit: $100
Fairly portable (I want to use it while walking)
It would be great if it could also be used with my laptop (Macbook Pro)
Re-chargeable battery

I hope that's enough information. So far, the E5 and Icon Mobile look pretty promising but I thought I'd ask because I might be missing some good ones.

Thanks guys,

for that money I think you might be lucky. sure you can get a half decent amp for that money, but using it with an iphone 3G you need the amp to be well shielded against RFI. my pico does a good job, and so do the RSA amps. someone else might be able to chime in and recommend a cheap shielded amp; otherwise you would have to turn on airplane mode to avoid the interference. which can be more than annoying. with a decently shielded amp and in a country that has good 3G coverage you can operate the phone as normal and IMO the iphone 3G has some of the best sound quality of all the apple range. only the IMOD/DIYMOD can beat it IMO and the touch 2G is on par
