Does anyone know any good dark minimalist classical? I'm thinking maybe strings and/or piano.

By "minimalist" do you mean composers associated with a group/school deemed minimalists? If so, think Terry Riley, Steve Reich, Phillip Glass, Michael Nyman. But do yourself a favor and just go buy Arvo Part's Alina and/or Tabula Rasa.

I second that Pictures at an Exhibition by Mussorgsky. I'll try to think of more once this episode... or many, of House M.D. is done. Heh.

For off the beaten path, how about Ghost Opera from Tan Dun and the Kronos Quartet.
