I mostly listen to dnb/dubstep/IDM, so I need something that has some decent bass to them. The ipod headphones that came with my touch just don't cut it.

From reading about, it seems IEM's tend to have far "more" bass than any buds, but I am a bit out of my depth with all the different models, never really looked into this before.

I have a fairly low budget, say, £40 max. Any suggestions?

Beyerdynamics DTX50 and get some double flange eartips. Don't know how much they are from where you are from. With a good seal, the bass is quite strong but doesn't interfer with the highs or mids. I use these nearly everyday. My Etymotic ER4P and Sleek Audio SA6 don't get so much air time nowadays. It's strange that I prefer the cheapest earphone I own, but I guess that's just me.

Goldring GX200 sound good bass wise, but have questionable build quality.

A touch more expensive, but still one to consider is the Audio Technica CK7. I regret selling those a little.
