as i dont feel like going to get a custom fit. i dont need to necessarily spend 1500 i figured it would just cover all the top IEMS

Well now you're significantly limiting yourself as, in all honesty, customs are in another league than even top tier IEM's, at least comparing my old Se530's to my JH13's.

you know how when everyone mentions rock in their title for full size cans grado is the first thing said.

well i want the IEM that is recommended like the grado 225I or other models are. i love the grado sound out of these which is like that, or will be best for metal.

IE 8
TF.10
ER4
Westone 3

IE8 and a 1000$ amplifier!! but I think you should get a headphone at this price range. they sound better and have a bigger soundstage, but thats just my opinion.

You should really consider customs. Otherwise you are just throwing money out the window because sooner or later, you're gonna want customs. No universal is going to be comparable to what you already like, so go with the customs now and put the extra money towards a good amp.
