Hello head-fier, i need help getting an audio interface for home recording. I am looking at the M-Audio Fasttrack Pro and will be recording with a keyboard and a at2020 xlr microphone. As i want the best bang for buck ,i would like to know whether if the interface could actually be use as a DAC and a recording interface? Although there is the headphone output , its for the 0 lantency monitoring right??

If it can be used as DAC is the rca used as the output?
Sorry if the questions are stupid , i am trying my hands at some pro audio equipment!!:)

yes, it is used as a dac via USB

generally, rca plugs on interfaces of this sort are for going to active monitors. or an amp.

specifically, the 2i4 seems to be the best entry interface that can basically do it all except subwoofer.
