I listen to music like rock, and mainly chilled-out music. For example...
 
Dot Hacker
Muse
Red hot chili peppers
 
...
What would be a good headphone in said price range for me?
Preferably closed since i will probably use it on busses and in school.
The headphones im considering are:
 
Shure SRH440
AKG K167
ATH-M50
HD598: Dont really like the fact that these are open, otherwise they seem like the best choice for me.
 
Also preferably easy to drive since i dont have an amp and i will be listening through my Galaxy S2.

You should not get open if you plan on using them in public.

I agree. The M50s are a solid all around headphone for around $125 and are fairly easy to drive.
