Then yeah just get the tuner! Something like the Sansui TU-5500 should run under $100!

Zowie just posted a FS on my favorite vintage tuner, the NAD 4300. I've had mine for many years now and have been really happy with it. Sounds great, and it pulls in stations that none of my more modern equipment has been able to get a lock on.
