Hi guys!

I've been looking for some decent gaming HEADSETS, my budget is $45-ish and I found three/four candidates:

Creative Sound Blaster Tactic 3D Fury: http://www.amazon.com/dp/dp/B00EO6X9YA
Logitech G230                                 : http://www.amazon.com/dp/dp/B00BFOEY4I
Plantronics GameCom 380 / 388         : http://www.amazon.com/dp/dp/B006ZS5AQA / http://www.amazon.com/dp/dp/B00LIQGJBE

I'm looking for decent sound, and no so high-priority mic. And maybe with ventilation pads, don't like sweating ears.
Which of these ones would you guys recommend?
Of course, If you have any better headsets that fits this budge, feel free to suggest it.

Any help would be really appreciated!

EDIT: typo.

All 3 are pretty much.. cheap "gamer-crap". Maximum profit for company, minimum quality for the buyer.

Watch into a Superlux 681 (evo), that beats the hell outta those "gaming headsets". + a Zalman mic1 microphone, and you are set~.

If you are allergic to a 2nd cable  (which you should try out, because the quality you get for the price is just isnane), get a look into the "Superlux HMC 681 Evo", which is the headset version, or a Bitfenix Flo (which has a Superlux headphone as base)

i'll gladly say it again: The quality difference between a "gaming headset" and a similar priced headPHONE (+ a cheap microphone) is INSANELY BIG.
Just for the record, and for comparison: Superlux 681 is similar / slightly above an Logitech G35/g930~. And i guess you might know their price ranges. Thats the difference
And below 45 dollar, i can not see any viable alternative to the Superlux + cheap mic combo.

Woah! I've never thought of that. Combining a decent headphone + cheap mic. I will really give it a thought.

Another thing is: keeping that mind, I've also found Grado ones. And I found VERY good reviews about its sound, and affordable prices, but I don't know if they're good for gaming. (Comfort, surround sound)... Would they work?

Well, technically, ANY headphone can work in place of Superlux (i just mention this one, because thats a really big bang for the buck where i live, and probably in other countries too).
If that one grado is better or worse, i dont know. That you woul dhave to try yourself. Also, personal preference is also a part in that.

For comfort: that decides your head. Whats comfortable for me might not be comfortable for you  So, if you got any headphone that fits you, just use it. No reason it doesnt work for gaming. Even the opposite: Because it is a headphone, it should be more precise with a better soundstage than gaming headsets, which makes non-gaming products actually better for gaming, as crazy it sounds :p

The surround thingy: You wont have that, but don't worry. The better the headphones are, the less people tend to "need/want" those surround-simulation software. Its possible to have a very good positioning soundstage with just stereo.
And if you do want to try a surround simulation software, you can buy a creative soundblaster Z, or an Asus xonar DGX~.
Or, try the software "Razer Surround", which works pretty good, regarding the surround simulation.

Just so you know how it works: The game puts out 7.1, as if you had real 7.1 speakers. The software takes those 8 channels, mixes them together and "downsamples" them into 2.0 stereo, while still keeping the directions of the sounds. --> In best you get surround on stereo headphones. Thats, why such simulations are pretty much MADE for stereo headsets/headphones.

This is what such simulations try to "simulate": http://geizhals.de/creative-sound-blaster-x-fi-hd-70sb124000002-a574456.html
Listen that with any stereo headset/headphone/inear/whatever. It's called "binaural".

Sadly, games dont have SUCH a great sound, which would be too expensive i think.

I will just add that I do have the Superlux HD681 Evo as well and I love it. I have several other supposedly much 'better' cans, but the Evo still gets a significant part of my listening time (like right now) because it just sounds so amazingly, darn good (especially for the money). Just wanted to share that. For what it is worth. Good luck!!

I really don't mind if they're open-air. I don't care if people knows what I'm listening into. But, how do they deal with isolation? I mean, do they let in outside sounds? Do you need to high volume in order to get isolation?

Well, it works like a Door. If you open it, and on the other side people are talking, you can hear them just as much they hear you. Your sounds leaks out (but not as much, because its directed on your ears, still something leaks out), and sound from outisde leaks also inside. thats what open means, and what open is supposed to do (so you can still hear doorbell, other people etc)

Open cans don't give you isolation. Never.
Maybe, if you turn up the volume so high, that it "overweights" every other sound, and that will destroy your ears.

If you need isolation --> buy closed cans.

Ok, I come here almost 2 months later because I just got your suggestion. I got Superlux HD 681 Evo, and man, let me tell you... I'M FREAKING OUT WITH THIS SOUND. OMG! I never expected a pair of cans can sound THIS GOOD. Thank you man, thank you a million times.

And, thats just the beginning. It can go quite a bit better^^ (and not just sound, built quality and comfort wise too!) But that would cost you a bit more than 20-30 bucks :p But they are a very awesome low budget start.
