Hello, I currently use an optical connection to my shiit bifrost dac for my primaluna evolution which powers my koss E9 Electrostatic Headphones. I love the sound but the low end is severely lagging. I have a graphic EQ I use to filter the sound from my bifrost to bring up the low end but I feel like it is adding distortion and it is also is starting to break anyways. So I'm not sure what to do now.
Can I download software to EQ? I ask because every EQ software I've used does not work when audio is output on optical so I'm not sure this is an option.
If software EQ is not preffered, what is a good dedicated graphic EQ I should get? I would prefer something that is compact, affordable, and low distortion. I don't need anything fancy other then level adjustments.
