hmmm I was about to recommend the KEF M500 for comfort, isolation, and sq until you said full-size is preferable.
 
Other than that, the Beyerdyanamic T70p and the AKG K550 sound amazing, almost like open headphones.

I've heard a lot of good things about the KEF M500, but I've never enjoyed on-ear headphones for more than an hour or so. 
That's just my personal taste

I enjoy tons of different music; mostly jazz, but also electronic music and soundtracks (classical).
 
Over time the headphones I've enjoyed most were ones with a strong(er) bass - but not overdone like the Beats.

ok then, forget the Beyerdynamic and the AKGs. Go for the Momentums or the MDR-1 or the V-Moda or the P7s. Which is exactly where you started from. Sorry for being no help
