Hi

I'm looking for a small, good quality DAC, with a size of 18 cm max.
So far i have only heard the SuperPro 707 USB DAC.

I'd like to hear about some other great products that i can then test before i make up my mind.

Please let me know about your thoughts.

Thanks
David

I have a Hotaudio DAC-WOW, it's about 5 x 2 x 9 cm (w x h x d). Would really recommend it, I'm very happy with it :) Good luck!

This thread probably belongs in the Dedicated Source Components section of the forum though.

Hi RazorJack

Fair enough! I should have posted on the other section of the forum. 've been after amps for a while and only opened threads in the 'Headphone amps (full size)' section and sort of forgotten about the rest

Thanks for the heads up as well as your suggestion, i will have a look at the Hotaudio DAC.

Have a good one!
David

devilsound v2 dac all the way!!
i owned the superpro 707 a while ago,and the devilsound v2 is significantly better!
you wont find a better sounding dac at its size.
the devilsound v2 needs at least 300 hours burn in time, before it really opens up.

Similar but much cheaper than the devilsound dac is the Headphonia dac cable... http://www.headphonia.com/USB-DAC-Cable:::1010.html

i just found that there are various Superpro 707 DACs - at least two different ones.
On http://diykits.com.hk/  there is one with input: USB, coax, optical and I2S, which is quite handy.

I've taken a read about the DevilSound v2 dac, the Headphonia DAC Cable and the Nuforce DAC and as i see they only accept USB as input, which is ok, however, i will probably need at least one coax input too.

Meantime the shelf has been done so now i know the exact size.
Depth should not be more than 20 cm, height and width are not limited.

Please give me some more hints.

Cheers,
David
