headphones:
Budget - $100
Source - As of right now Ipod nano 2g and soon a sandisk clip+ or zip; still looking for a good quality flac player so leaning towards clip +, but not sure about other players besides sandisk.

Requirements for Isolation - from 1 to 10 1 being no isolation, 10 being complete isolation. I want about a 7 to a close 8.5 Preferred Type of Headphone - full size might be nice, I have on ears at the moment "sony piqq" but they get uncomfortable at times and fall off a lot when leaning over.

Preferred tonal balance - overall balance would be good
Past headphones - I have used sony piqq headphones for close to 3.5 years and they work still its just I think its time to upgrade because I am starting to like higher quality sounds better and my piqq can't deliver it. The comfort I get from them is minimal they provide a cushion but that cushion starts to hurt after two hours of listening. So comfort is a plus for me.

Preferred Music - My music list is as follows -Jazz - folk music (scottish bagpipes, gaelic singing, folk bands (mumford and sons) folk song I really like:
Code:

Rock music - pearl jam, white stripes, black keys, nickelback, airbourne, ac dc, dank jones
hard rock - clutch, red fang
All types of metal
some electronic music
location - Canada

Flac player:

I was thinking of getting the sandisk clip + or the sandisk clip zip, not too sure on which on is better. Need a decently priced player that can fit a lot of music.

Sandisk Sansa Clip Zip 4GB, Rockbox it and add a 16GB or 32GB micro-SD memory card, $50-$60.
JVC HA-S500 folding headphones $60.

Can I format a 64 gig card to make it work with the clip zip

Not sure if the Clip Zips stock firmware can access a 64GB card, the Rockbox might help.
I have not check the updates on the latest Sansa firmware lately, as I switched to a Sony E465, as my 49 year old eyes needed a bigger screen.

Here is Rockbox
