Hi Guys,

I hope this is the right forum to ask this question. I am looking for a kind Japanese Head-fier who speaks both Japanese and English and could help me in buying some music CDs from Japanese stores and sites such as Yahoo Auctions Japan. As I don't speak Japanese buying stuff there is a problem for me and they have some very interesting releases.

Head-fier using PayPal would be a perfect match as this is the easiest way to deal with money. Anybody interested in helping a Polish guy?

Kuboten's commision is too high for low price items like CDs IMO. I've used http://www.japonicamarket.com/ a few times now with no problems. They also have a snipe bidding function which is very convenient.

What CDs are you looking for btw? I could help you search for them if you don't read Japanese.

Thank you for your tips guys buy I am reluctant in using such commision taking services to buy stuff from Japan - mostly because it's hard for me to get use to new systems. I can buy everything on eBay but learning a new system would be a hassle. It would be much nicer to find an honest buddy that could help me in buying stuff with his/her private auction accounts, like on eBay. I have tons of double blues related CDs in my collection (two copies of each) and would love to share them with this person as a "thank you" gift for helping me find the stuff I need.

I use Google Translator to read Japanese and it works quite well, it's not the main problem. The problem is buying stuff and paying for them as most of the times you need to have an account and log in to do so, plus many times they don't use paypal services to send money but require some local forms of payment, like a bank transfer. That's why I am looking for an insider's help.

Stuff I would like to buy are mostly Japanese editions of classic soul music, for example:

1. Otis Clay "Live! Otis Clay": http://page18.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/w50727293

I have this on the original double LP but I am an Otis Clay freak and would like to have the CD version as well, but for more reasonable price as this one on Yahoo Auction is way too much for me to pay.

2. O.V. Wright Boxed Set: http://page12.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/p198203489

This is something I would like to buy, as it is a good price.

Too bad that eBay is not that popular in Japan.

Are these still in print? If they are you might as well get them from amazon.co.jp. They will ship CDs worldwide and there is an English version of the website.

Otherwise, if you want the most hassle free method to get stuff from  Yahoo Auctions Japan, I would just email Craig at Kuboten.
