Actually, I'm surprised at the progress they've made. The LCD monitor that my sister has is very motion blurry and looks terrible and my dad's new ultrasharp doesn't have any motion blur, at least on the mouse cursor.

Haha, I love the little display on my T250, if only all displays were this sharp. It's 10.5" and is 1280x768...the funny thing is, the 17" sony tv/monitor I just got is the same resolution..ahaha. Okay, as for text quality, the 10.5" blends letters together less so than the 17" does, maybe that's just a pitch thing. Beside that, they're both great...and Toshiba has a 7.2" screen with the same resolution ... that's just madness, I've used it and it's actually not that bad (well...I think my 10.5" is a great size) but hte keyboard is like half the size of my T250s..

I was playing morrowind on the 17"er today and it seemed to work just fine for that, I didn't notice any blurring or anything like that although I wasn't really looking that much for it. I have noticed it before on other monitors though. I was actually cloning my 17" CRT onto it and comparing them...lol

wow! i cant imagine squeezing 1280x768 into 10.5"... my widescreen laptop runs 1280x800 on 12.1" ... i read websites with +1 font upsize... generally display is okay if i set winxp to compensate for distances... but windows doesnt do everything perfectly and some situations i want to punch the display ... but it is a laptop

I don't know what laptop that is, but the Sony S series has a 1280x800 13.3" screen and you wouldn't believe how much bigger that is! I mean, WOW, text is like HUGE on that screen. I like how the T is smaller, but the keyboard is better even though it's smaller...the height just feels better.

No, it is better. Even a cheap CRT will at least give you true black levels instead of a dark grey.
