M.Sensation, I have a JMT made CHA47 and the Rega Ear. I find that with my grados, I prefer the JMT and with my Senns(HD580), the Rega. The Rega just compliments the Senns better than the CHA47, IMO. With the Rega, The bass is turned down ever so slightly, while being very tuneful and deep, and the treble is emphasized just a bit, and brings out the treble on the senns. The sound with the Rega and HD580s is just a smoother and more musical experience than the HD580s are with my JMT, but my HP-1s with the JMT, on the other hand, are much better than the Senn+Rega combination, IMO. Also, the Rega isn't portable, so it wouldn't work for you anyway.
