Hey all,

iam looking for a closed back headphone with good isolation for evening and late night use. Ive got 2 open back headphones i really like, the DT 880 pro 250 and the Fidelio X2. Iam using them on a DENON Udra F88 stereo receiver, a Arcam Alpha 3 and for PC use a Scarlett 2i2. The price range should be between 150 - 200.

Iam open for almost any headphone ;) , just need a good closed back can for the money as an addition.

Greetings, red

Iam torn between the dt 770 80/250 and the nad viso HP 50. Both seem to be pretty good headphones. The biggest let down of the HP 50 seems to be the build quality compared to the beyers, and theyve got great support and spare parts. To me what matters most is overall Sound quality and soundstage. Which one has the bigger soundstage and more open feel? I could get the 770 for 154$ the HP 50 for 232$

If you are looking for sound quality and soundstage, then you should probably also at least consider the SoundMAGIC HP150 and the AKG K553 Pro, both of which excel in those arenas and are in your price range. Although the DT770 80/250 is a good can, I do think the HP50 is probably the more open of the two and probably also has the bigger soundstage (that's just me, others may disagree). You have several good options here. Good luck!

Thank you very much. The HP 150 seems to be very good, AKG too. Going to put them on the List

Maybe some in ears? They don't make noise at all. From my understanding, you just want some headphones with no sound leak right? If that's the case, get HiFiMAN RE400, they are very neutral.

If you want to block the noise outside, then I would suggest you use klipsch s4 with SHURE EABKF1-10 Tips. They work like a earplug, blocks most of the outside noise.

Other than that, maybe M50s or DT770s. I never had other close-back headphones, can't suggest you much :(
