I spent a good solid month looking for and trying out over-ear headphones in the ~$200 range, and ended up discovering that there is no headphones in that range that are closed back, very comfortable, and sound good, they all have some major draw back that turn me off, so I'm thinking I'll just switch to earbuds instead.

I know earbuds have worse isolation and generally worse sound quality than IEMs, but I hate the sensation and the earwax of IEMs, I don't like on ears, I don't have the money for good over-ears, etc, so earbuds are what I'm going with. Given that earbuds have such a low ceiling for how good they can be usually, I am looking for something less than $80, that is decently comfortable and has decent sound quality, I don't care about any other aspect. I didn't mind the apple earpods that much so my standards are fairly low. I checked the review section of head-fi but the sample size is way too low and I don't trust small clumps of reviews to pick a product, so I'm looking for a personal recommendation.

Any good recommendations?

I'm not big on IEMs.
So here are some good headphones Audio Technica ATH-WS77 (touch on the bassy side) for $105.

I just picked up the ATH-WS99 and I like them and the WS77 are considered to be almost as good.
