Just had a listen to the old speakers my firend had, now starting to regret spending any money at all at earbuds. I am looking for a set of 2.0 pc speakers with good clarity and soundstage, I listen to orchastral music mostly. What is the best option under $70? How is logitech Z320?
 
Another question, are all 5.1 speakers better than similarity priced 2.0s? like logitech x530 ($60)? Thank you.

I was able to get M-Audio AV30's for real close to 70.00 online about a year ago.   I think I will own these forever (or hand em down) they are very sturdy!
 
I think I got them somewhere like Buy.com or Overstock.  I worked the web for about a week or so find that price.

Yeah for around that price if you can find the AV30's they are hard to beat. Just watch out for reliability issues, if you can pay a few bucks more and get additional warranty I'd do so.

The M200MKIII are slightly better they have, lower frequence responace , will play louder , have better Separation and signal to noise ratio.

Wow thats a significant adjustment of the budget. Your options open up quite a bit if you are looking at 400$ speakers. There are quite a few threads here that can give you choices for active monitors

I mainly listen to classical so strong bass may not be all that important, I need clearity and soundstage that make me feel the presence of the orchastral, so is M200MKIII a noticeable step up from D1080MKII 08?

I have a pair of Edirol MA-10D studio monitors. They sound amazing. 
 
You should be able to find them for pretty cheap since they are no longer offered. Look on Ebay. They have customizable controls for bass, treble, etc. and digital inputs for coax and optical. They sound much better than anything sub $120 that I've heard out there, including the Bose, Logitech, etc. Also, they are much more durable and better constructed.
