Maybe get in touch with eric343. I believe he's working on one for himself, and if it turns out all right he might be interested in helping you out.

I guarantee it won't be finished before New Years, if not later...

...beyond that, someone with a different Sennheiser headphone has expressed interest, and has helped me out quite a lot. So they get first dibs...

Any further information will be posted in Mall-Fi

I imagine that getting those Sennheiser HE60s was not easy. They are usually sold as The Orpheus Headphone System. Where did you get them? How much?

Here's a review....

Good luck in your search for an amp!

No, the HE60/HEV70s are the Baby Orpheus. The Big Orpheus is the HE90/HEV90 IIRC.

(HExx are the headphones, HEVxx are the amps)

eric343: Thanks for the clarification.

Do you know the prices of these electrostatic headphones? I don't have a clue.

Original price for the headphone+amp sets was ~$2200 and ~$14000, respectively. Used value is about $650-$850 and ???, respectively. (I've never seen an Orpheus for sale)

Someone from Sweden sold his Orpheus on eBay for about $2000 (but then there was maybe $700 in shipping/customs fees). After the buyer got the Orpheus reconditioned, I believe he tried to sell it for $5000.

HeadRoom was once selling a demo Orpheus for $11,000-12,000.
