Hello!

I came across the B&W MM-1 which has amazing reviews for my situation, I can not use speakers too loud at most times.
However, anyone here has some speakers which are in the same league and can give me some feedback? Would be much appreciated. : )
So I'm looking around for something decent, probably 2.1, which got a really good soundstage at low volumes.
And it would be nice if it could be paired with my Zodiac dac.

I noticed many speakers got build-in dacs, what are the downsides or upsides with using your own?

Martin logan purity. Powered, run them right from the dac if you've got a volume control. It's all in the imaging and 'space' sound great low, but get loud if you need it with 200wpc.

They were recently discontinued. Found a pair new for 1100usd

Never heard them, not many probably have, but these would be on my short list to try.

Looks fine but I prefer the B&W's over these.

These Airmotiv 4's look pretty serious.
Gonna see if there is any place around to audition them, which I doubt. :)

The Airmotivs are Internet direct speakers. No place to locally demo. See this review and discussion thread about them on head-fi: http://www.head-fi.org/t/589057/emotiva-pro-airmotiv4-loudspeakers-review

this http://www.whathifi.com/review/focal-xs-book they are active, no built in dac , 4" inch drivers, so they should have good bass, however they seem to be taller than the mm-1's, there is also the Genelec 6010A 3" drivers they have 4" inch as well and so on...
I have the mm-1's they sound good with the built in DAC, however im using mine with and external dac, i get better bass this way and overall better sound as well... not saying that the dac inside sucks.... i haven't heard the Focals, i know apple and bestbuy have the MM-1's on display... with that budget you could give both an audition... Happy hunting...

also focal xs 2.1....

oooppsss! ignore Bestbuy idk you where from Belgium...
