I am looks for a pair earphones for my nephew who is 14 years old. He destroyed every earphone that I give to him over the years. This time I want to buy a durable pair that has decent SQ while paying less than $50. Looking for inputs.

JVC HA-FX1X Xtreme Xplosives have a nice beefy cable with durable plastic housings (very solid build) They've been talk of the town around here for a while in your price range. I own a pair they aren't too shabby. Can be picked up for around $23 offering decent sound quality, bucket loads of bass. Nothing spectacular in sound but decent for the price.
