Please read this thread and this one before replying to this thread. This topic has been covered, and I don't think this old argument needs to be resurrected unless someone can really add new insight to the question.

As Jan Meier said of his visit to the Sennheiser factory: "...the mere quality of the material itself is not all important. It's the synergie of the various materials that counts. You can use the most expensive materials, but if they don't fit performance will be mediocre. It's the kind of expertise you don't learn from textbooks but only by doing."

He destroyed his amp. I'd rather just listen to it and enjoy music.

Maybe his next project is some microscopic shots of the contents of a Big Mac.
