Hi there,
I've been a long time lurker, and have benefited from discussions on this forum over the last few years or so.
I've made several purchase decisions aided by intelligent advice that I've gotten through reading the reviews, and opinion pieces from many of you.
I thought why not join in and either contribute, or learn more through participating in discussions.
I'm not so much of a hi-fi guy, coming from a music background.
I envision myself a musician - but really just a guy who plays music and enjoys good gear; and I used to work as a sound engineer for a couple of years.
I've had a number of in-ear headphones, mostly geared for live use, and have started to develop a liking for headphones.
My gear list so far:
Headphones:
Beyerdynamics DT990 Pro (250ohm)
ATH-M50
Shure SRH840
'travel' stuff
Bose QC15
Beats Studio Executive (i know, i know - they're beats... please don't judge)
UE4000
in ears:
Westone UM3
Shure e2C
Desktop Amps
Go-Vibe DAC
Fiio e07k
Fiio e09k
I listen to a wide variety of stuff - from Miles Davis/ Coltrane stuff to modern rock to heavier stuff (killswitch engage, times of grace, as i lay dying). I dislike pop though...
