First of all, I live in a single and by myself ( no room mate ).

I currently have 11 bottles of either unopened or barely opened Alcohol in my dorm room. Earlier tonight it was at 12, but I brought a bottle of Tequila and some tropical mixer to a get together that we had.

It is the mistake of a local grocery store.....
They made the mistake of having alcohol at *Reduced for Quick sale* and it was literally $4 for each thing of Pucker (which we bought all 4 they had left), $5 a bottle for $20 Tequilla ( we grabbed all three), and $5 a bottle for Bahama Mama (we grabbed all three).

The wine was bought tonight for the get together we were going to have, but my friend's corkscrew broke before it made it into the cork.

The Goldschalager and Skyy were bought on my 21st birthday back in October 2007.

Really, my only guilt is that I am too thrifty. I know that my stash will at least make it to the famed "Dillo Day" since I really don't drink much, but I don't think that it could possibly make it past Dillo Day. We all have friends comming and there will not be enough for 10+ people.

Oh well, I just thought it was very comical since I have never had more than three at any given time and right now it is 11. Thrifty is how you get through college!

Top (from the left): Skyy Vodka, Strawberry Pucker, Bacardi Bahama Mama, Painted Horse 2005 Merlot
Bottom: Milagro Tequilla, Margaritaville Tequilla, Protocolo Red (2006), Goldschlager, Cesar Reserva Tequilla

I don't have any beer in my room because I have no space in my fridge and transporting it is a pain when you have no car. The campus atmosphere is actually more about the mixed drinks anyway ( beer used just in *games* - mostly Bud Light).

I know the feeling. We have a locked chest in the center of our room (Davy Jones' Locker) full of booze. The arsenal includes Svedka, Kahlua, White Bacardi, Captain, and some Jose. Most are pretty full. I'm not sure how we are going to finish it before the end of the semester.

Our Dorm has a rather strict no-drinking policy as well so we are pretty careful with it.

Alcohol - or as I like to call it, sex in a bottle. A girl friend of mine recently drank so much she woke up naked after a blackout on someone's front lawn. A male friend of mine said "I would love that to happen to me". To which I replied, "Sure, unless you woke up naked with a sore butthole". True story.

Yeah, but as much as people play up the effects of alcohol...

I don't think that it can turn you into something that you are not. Honestly, it just makes you more of your true-r self. I have never done anything drunk that I wouldn't do sober ( and that does include homework).

For some reason, when I am just really stuck on something a half-shot really gets me going on the problem again. It doesn't happen often, but on some programming assignments it can be hell. Once, I did my homework pretty darn drunk and I got it 100% correct, except that instead of doing the problems from chapter 9 - I did the ones from 12. I got a 50% when I first got it back (because only half teh problems were effected). After discovering that this is the reason, I ended up getting 80% because the professor was just so impressed that I had worked and knew more advanced material.

I think that sometimes, just a little bit calms the nerves a bit and allows you to see around the problem rather than through it. Aleve can do the same thing though.

This year I took a friend's advice and did a half-shot before all of my finals. My grades have actually improved by a large margin! My lowest grade this year has been a B... and that is in engineering...the average GPA in my discipline is a C+.....I am soooo stoked! And I don't even cheat!

Well... my classes did actually have purpose this year and I have been motivated to get my work done beforehand....

That's called performance enhancing drugs. Careful, they will kick you out of the hall of fame for that sh!t. Just ask Barry Bonds.

Welcome to the late night drinking club!

My GF works for a liquor distributor... heh we should have had the chicago meet at my place. No one would have cared about the headphones :-)

Thank goodness I'm allergic to alcohol. One less thing to worry about in my busy life.

I just think that my true intelligence is not revealed most of the time because I am thinking about a bunch of different stuff at once ( which is really great for when inventing or designing), but on some things you need to be concentrated (design logic for instance).

I wouldn't call it performance enhancing drugs because it doesn't give me anything that I didn't have before.

Yeah, it's called a joke, buddy. I guess this is another example of your true intelligence not being revealed.

Alcohol is gosh darn expensive in Singapore so every time I'm going abroad I take a bottle with me. Must have 12 so far. Tequila and single malts are among my favorites

Nice collection you got there!

I have quite a collection myself. Since I have the bad habit of buying at least a bottle of tow each time I am abroad. Which happen to be 4-5 times a year.
