I find with the Logitech Z-550 and Creative Gigaworks S750, there is plenty of treble and bass, and nothing in the middle.
It got very frustrating after a while and began to build a home theater setup.

I found the opposite for the Z-550s. Just mids/lower mids and a flatulent sub-woofer.
