Logitech Z-2300

Buy.com has the Logitech Z-5300E set for $77.99 after rebate ($40) with free shipping.

Link.

That's a pretty good price for a 5.1 set. You know you'll want to upgrade from whatever you buy now at some point in the future, so perhaps starting from a budget angle is best.

Yep, not good, but cheap.

Oh, I see what you mean. I mistakenly assumed that the Z-2300 and Z-5300 shared the same satellites and subwoofer, the only difference being the number of satellites (sort of like the X-230 versus the X-530). But the whole system is quite different!

Thanks for the clarification... Sort of silly for Logitech to number the systems that way.

Well as I said, I'm willing to spend a little more, maybe get monitors and a subwoofer. But I do need help if I'm to get that. Again, can anyone suggest good monitors and a good subwoofer for music + games + movies for 100-250?
