I've got the logitech G430 with sound card for half a year now, but I find the headset really unsatisfying with the sound card plugged in. I've tried using it without the usb card, but I find the lack of audio quality disturbing. I wonder if upgrading is really worth it, and if so, which headphones/headset do you recommend? I want to spend about 130 euros on the headphones/headsets, a mic isn't really necessary if it lowers the audio quality

Sennheiser's HD598 would be a nice choice for gaming and movies

Well there's the Audio Technica ATH-M50X going on sale now on Amazon(UK) for 90 Pounds, which is Approximately 120Euros. Or maybe get a Sennheiser HD518 which has the same pricing. You could also pick up a Zalman zm-mic1 too if you need a mic.
