I'm looking to into the possibility of doing some work in the Middle East for a Company who is getting money from the U.S. Army’s Logistics Civil Augmentation Program for contract work.

Basically you go there for a 1 year "tour", stay in company housing with meals and some medical care provided, make double what you'd typically make in the states (tax free) and run the risks that are associated with living and working in a developing country that also happens to have a large terrorist presence operating in it that functions solely to try to destroy the western influence.

The job I am looking into is in the IT field.

Anyone have any first-hand experience, or know someone that has, and can share what you know or have heard?

I know a woman who was a supply sergeant in Kuwait. When her enlistment ended, a Kuwaiti company hired her some some obscene amount. She works as a supply coordinator for the Kuwaitis, handling the stuff the Army buys from Kuwait.

Going anywhere abroad, be sure to check out the CIA location reports.
