Is it true? My audiophile dealer told me that Loewe no longer exports their televisions to the U.S. Does this mean I can no longer get a Loewe TV? That is very upsetting to me. I've been slowly building my system: I have B&W speakers, Rotel equipment---and am almost ready to replace my old Sony Wega with a Loewe (the perfect compliment to my system). So now that I'm in the U.S., this is no longer possible??? I don't want to be stuck with Sony---which will still be the best choice in lieu of Loewe, IMO....

Problem solved. I'm now lusting after the 34-inch Sony XBR Direct View HDTV. My dealer has one on display, and it looks just about as good as the tube-based Loewe they used to have. Wow.

Oh, I definitely agree with them. I am not interested in plasma, LCD or DLP. A great tube set like the XBR can not be beat. I'll stick with LCD as a computer monitor only.
