Just wondering what experiences you guys have had with either of these. The Fiio ones are cheaper but I have heard more problems involving them and durability. The iBasso ones I am referring to are the ones around $30 but I haven't heard much feedback from anyone anywhere about those.

The Fiio is cheap and nicely made, you're not going to find an OCC copper LOD for $10 anywhere else.  It's tough because it's machine made.  I personally use and prefer them.

Might be O/T as i think this is strictly portable use with cans but using the Fiio L7 line out kit with my E7 to feed external T-Amp/bookshelf speakers for my PC Audio set up and i must say after some months now - it is really simple in design but effective/durable

Both should be fine.  Just a slightly different shape.

If you put both in your pocket binding your devices together, L9 would be less of a stick out then the L3 which would probably(not sure) mean that the cable on L9 would experience less stress on the plug housing.

i think its more of an aesthetic issue, i've used both Fiio and the Ibasso CB07, both are good and does their job quite well. Don't underestimate the Fiio, its pretty sturdy and built to last. The Ibasso looked better and matched my rig more. There is barely any sound difference between them.

I love my L9, the iBasso just feels so cheap and I also lately found a change in the sound with the iBasso, to the worse compared to the L9.

really, thats weird. I've had a great experience with the Ibasso but Fiio was not bad either. I guess its just preference.

With mini-mini you still use the iDevice amp, with LOD you bypass it.
