I recently got a custom-built, portable Monica 2 DAC with an optical input. I'd love to post a review of it, but doing so would be fairly meaningless without being able to do a comparison to other sources. Given that the Micro DAC and Picolo are the closest devices to this particular build, I'd love to be able to borrow one of each from any other Head-Fiers that aren't using them regularly.
Even more ideal, if anyone has one of these DACs in the Long Island or NYC area, it would be great to get together for a mini-meet so that we can compare and contrast with each other's gear (and also avoid shipping costs).
Either way, please send me a PM (or post here) if you'd be willing to either loan me your DAC, or meet up for some comparison listening.
And for the curious who haven't seen it in other threads, here's my current setup:
