For a few months I have enjoyed this combo, and last week I got my hands on four Tungsol 5998's, which have added tremendously to the enjoyment. I feel that I finally have found the right tubes for the MK VI, as the amp now provides such a balanced, rich and almost creamy sound through the K1000's. I have listened to the K1000's through both my regular integrated amp (Lyngdorf SDAI 2175) and the original AKG K1000 amp. Although the K1000 shows itself as a superb phone driven by both amps, I have felt that I missed an overall balance between the treble and bass, sometimes getting tired from listening due to a sharpness in the upper frequencies.
But now I am all happy. In fact, I decided to buy another K1000 as reserve just in case something ever happened.

I was wondering if anyone in this community has had similar positive experience with their K1000's and Little Dot?
