I was interested in purchasing a Little Dot MKIII for my Q701's,

However, I have heard tubes work well with high impedance headphones so wondered whether the two would be a good match or not.

If anyone has had any experience with this setup then I would appreciate some advice. Any other amp recommendations would also be helpful.

Thanks

From my personal understanding.
It's the lower costing (cheap) tube amplifiers that are the ones with more problems working with low Ohm headphones.
The Q701s are listed as 62-Ohm, but they like a fair amount of juice to work their best, which a tube amplifier can provide.

This thread should provide some good reading on amplifiers for the Q701.
