So I've been thinking lately, should I just start off with the HifiMan EF2 (As my first amp), or should I just save up for a little dot MK5 or a MK4 amp?
My current source is a MacBook, and I need something for my Grado HF2s, else I would be stuck with the headphone out of my MacBook, and I personally don't want that.
Note: I don't have enough money for the LD MK4/5 amp yet, just enough for a EF2 though.

Just discovered the Gilmore Lite headphone amp. There's too many choices out there

I think I'll just stick with the EF2 first, but I'd like some more opinions please.

Start with the EF2. I own an EF1 and thought it sounded better than a LD MKV (with my AKG K701) when I had both, and ended up selling the Little Dot. The EF2 is supposed to sound pretty similar.
