My Little Dot II picks up all sorts of nasty noises created by my computers' power supplies - especially on the laptop. I have a Little Dot MKIII on the way, and to my dismay, I have seen reports of it behaving that way too.

I've tried using a cheater plug, and that works wonderfully. All the noise just went away. Of course, it's a dangerous way around the problem. Then there's the ground loop breaker cable from radio shack. That actually puts your audio input thru isolation transformers though, which will have an impact on the sound.

I just had an idea though. What if I use an isolation transformer for the AC power input? I'm sure that would silence the noise, but I'd like to know if that would offer the same safety as plugging the amp directly into a grounded outlet.
