Has anyone tried this combination? I read that Little Dot gets harsh sometimes, which is not such a good thing with Grados, I think. Any impressions?

Actually, the tonal qualities of the LD2 matched my SR225 fairly well. I think your main problem is going to be the impedence of your headphones though. The LD2 is gain matched for 300ohm Sennheisers. Using it with my K701 (at twice the resistance of Grado cans, 64ohms), the volume was too loud for me by the time the volume pot was high enough to balance the left and right channels.

I do not believe little-tube offers gain matching when ordering, but I may be wrong.

I was under the impression that the amp had a jumper to adapt to low impedance headphones. Doesn't it?

The little dot II + features a jumper-switch to lower gain for low impedance phones... I think it should be the same for the little dot II (non plus).

The normal LD2 (no +) does not have impedance jumpers.

Seconded - no impedence jumpers on LD2...

My mistake anyway - I thought the post was LD2 + SR80, not LD2+ + SR80.

Does that mean I can get more volume out of the LD2+ using this jumper? With my GS-1000, I find the volume lacking a little.
