No, you dont need an adapter for that. Just good soldering skills. 
 
I've heard good things about this opamp on little dot amps, you can also try rolling tubes.

Anybody have a suggestion of where i could find a pair of chip pullers locally? I hit up the radio shack and they said they dont carry them anymore.
