Not many threads / comments on Liszt.

I was looking at picking up Liszt: Piano Works by Bolet (Amazon.com: Liszt: Piano Works [Box Set]: Franz Liszt, Georg Solti, Ivan Fischer, London Philharmonic Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Jorge Bolet: Music).

It's a great introduction to Liszt.........Bolet was a Liszt specialist! His interpretations are great throughout...........definitely worth the investment.........

If you want to spend a little more money you can pick up different interpretations for separate pieces..............in the Piano Sonata in B Minor, Martha Argerich has no rival (in my opinion)

P.S. the sound is good throughout that box.

also "liebestraum"...really makes you think about how geniouses they were, creating all this complex masterpieces. even in the most progressive rock tunes you don't have 0.02% of what they were capabale of doing.

chopin and lizst are my two favourites for the piano. lizst were also a student of chopin as you know...
