What do you think is the single best headpone -- no earbuds/canalphones please, but you can give them honorable mention -- at the following price ranges in USD (give or take a few bucks): $25, $50, $75, $100, $150, $200, $250, and >$300?
I'm going by Headroom/Todd the Vinly Junkie pricing.
If you have no personal experience in a price category, you can leave it blank, or just base it on what you've heard/read from others.
Comments are optional (but usually given, as is the Head-Fi custom).
Here's my list:
$25 -- AKG 24P (very lightweight, look cool, and a good bang for the buck)
$50 -- Senn PX 200 (good isolation for such portable phones)
$75 -- Grado SR-60 (no comment necessary)
$100 -- AKG 240S
$150 -- Beyer DT250-250 (great cans for rock; ~$150 @ B&H photo)
$200 -- Senn HD 580
$250 -- ? Beyer Dt 880 (I don't own them)
>$300 -- (I don't have anything in this category, but I would probably want to try Grado RS-1).
