I just got my xm3. it's nicely built, and tiny...i don't know what it is but somehow it looks smaller than an altoid can although they're exact same size. must be the shape and the black outline... anyways, even though i realize it's suppost to be not in the same league as the PINT but what i notice is that my ears actually hurt after listening to them! and that's without the bass gain booster. i'm sure if I put them in and listened it would be considered as a self inflicted wound... not trying to diss the nice little amp here but compared to the PINT, this really is night and day difference. you guys ever experience something like this? go down the quality ladder just one step and you get all uncomfortable in your eardrums? i think it's the crossfeed that does it for xm3. they really skimped out on the component since it had to be fit in such a small space. with the feature off, the SQ increases noticebly.

I had the XM3 and thought it was a great deal for the price. I did not experience the problem you have. The cross feed is adjustable have you tried adjusting it?
