A bit of an older device, but from personal use i can confirm that via its 3.5mm socket the BTR5 (first version, non-MQA one) does support both mic via wire and in-line / media controls, i can only assume that's true also for the 2021 revision of the btr5, the Btr7 and the new btr15, but would have to confirm via owners of those devices to make sure. Hope it helps.

But I'm pretty sure that Moondrop Dawn Pro does not support microphone passthrough, because CS43131 does not include an ADC.

Sorry, i should've specified. For the BTR5 mic and line controls via cable will work only when connected via bluetooth indeed: when connected through usb that's not the case.

I am also in the search for a good dongle that has mic passthrough. The HIDIZS SD2 looks like a good option. Currently i have a Moondrop Dawn Pro but sadly it does not have mic passthrough so i need to swap it. The Fiio KA11 looks like a good option too but i think it does not suport mic too so i will end up buying the SD2 as it seems to be the best option of the list actually. I've also found that the Hidizs S9 Pro has mic passthrough (not the plus version), but it costs double the price.
