Is this thread about physically breaking, or just headphones falling apart??

I guess my point is, they would not have "broken" had i not tried to dissect them.

Koss SB-45. I broke 3-4 pairs of those. Granted, Koss did replace them with a brand new pair every time they broke, I just got tired of paying to ship the broken ones back.

After than I picked up a pair of Koss SB-40's, and I used those up until I bought my sound card and AD-700's.

Actually, does that even count? I guess those are more headsets than headphones since they have a microphone attached...

Mostly skullcandy crap, actually an embarassing amount:
Ink'd earbuds while working, stepped on them.
skullcrushers, bass amp went out.
asyms, actually around 5 pairs, all same reason. speaker just stopped working.
Titans, same reason as asyms.
Many other various cheap phones purchased at ROSS lol.

I've learned my lesson and will purchase higher quality phones in the future.

PX100's - left driver stopped working
KSC-75's - right driver stopped working (cabling issue)
sony e888's 3 times - all of them broke, quite a fragile earphone but it was great sounding while they lasted.
