The player I am using has 2 pair of analog outputs. I have one pair connected to my HeadRoom amp. I am installing 2 tube amps in just a few days.

Would adding quality Y-adaptors to the unused pair be the best choice for feeding both tube amps?

Or should I add a line switcher in reverse such as the Niles Audio AXP-1 to switch all 3 amplifiers? I have an unused SV-5 on hand which includes a volume control. Would this degrade the signal?

Tube amplifiers typically have a high input impedance (usually 100 Kohms). If you connect them all up using Y-connectors you run the risk of getting high frequency roll-off. This risk would increase if you use interconnects with high capacitance. A switchbox is better, and try to keep the interconnects short.

If the source has a sufficiently low impedance output, you shouldn't have any problem with hf roll off using simple y adapters.
