Hello,

From what I've read so far, it seems that if your portable audio player has line out compatibility, you should use it over the typical mini-mini interconnects. However, the only mentions I've found for line out docks have been for iPods. Would the iPod dock be just as effective for my Sony? And is there anyone experienced with this player who could lend me some advice? FYI, I'll be using it with a Xin SMIII - ER-4p/s.

you only need a mini to mini cable. although you need to change the output settings in the menu from headphone output to lineout.
