Hi guys,

For late night listening of DVDs and Xbox games, I'm wondering if I can plug a couple of male -> female RCA convertors onto the ends of the audio out cables on my Xbox and DVD player (you know, the red and white cables) and then from there go to a 2 x RCA -> minijack cable and into my Mint amp and into my Grados.

Does that make sense? I'm currently using the headphone out on the TV at the moment I'm wondering if those line-outs can be amplifed into my headphones with a Mint META42 amp for much better sound.

Ta.

Get an a/v selector like this one on eBay, or similar.

eBay search for: video selector http://search.ebay.com/search/search...0&BasicSearch=

I got a really cheap one at Wal-Mart with only three inputs just to keep around handy. I only use it for audio switching. (red and white RCA) The minimalist in me does not allow it to stay permanently in the audio chain but for instances like yours it comes in handy.

It should sound much better going through your meta than the TV's built in amplifier.
