I just happen to be in Japan on holiday at the moment

I'm gonna grab one of these and in 2 weeks when i get back (to where my amp is) i'll give some feedback

They're everywhere here btw, if anyone is coming to japan, they're in practically every decent department store, or at bic camera or yodabashi camera.

Also got a car kit that looks pretty awesome

Price is around Y2,500

I got one of these and it is indeed not a line out.

I am quite disappointed.

I was trying this thing out today with my minibox and fiio. Not much difference at all, but it is great for the car kit as it will charge and play at the same time. Also, it puts the plug at the bottom.

But sonically, I can't really say there is a difference at all.

Edit: After some more usage, it seems this thing will output audio at a line level, but the tone is still colored by whatever processing the walkman does internally. So no 'clear' line out, it still has the sony tone.
