I'm a n00b, so I apologize in advance for any vocabulary blasphemy. I searched the forums and couldn't find the answer to this question, hell, I'm new so I don't even know if I'm in the right forum. But anywho:
I have an iPod with Shure E3's. I love the sound I get, but when I'm in a quiet room they're actually too loud even with the volume down all the way. And when the volume is down all the way, there's quite a bit of line noise--throw an attenuator into the mix and it's really distracting. So I'm looking for a solution. Would I get better results if I used a headphone amplifier for my volume rather than the iPod itself?
