I'm looking for possible best quality portable very light DAC for my Sennheiser MX985. I want using it with my Windows 8.1 tablet (Dell Venue 8 Pro)

Four years later, and the MX985 is still one of the best earbuds ever produced.

I'm very happy listening to mine from the ODAC/Fiio E11 combo. Considering how slim smartphones are nowadays, I don't have any problems carrying this stack around in my jeans pockets. I also quite like the MX985/Hifiman HM601 combo; the light treble on the 601 can help with the 985's tendency toward brightness in the upper regions. Both that and the ODAC/E11 can sound wonderful, in different ways.

If I need something really small, the 1st gen iPod shuffle sounds surprisingly awesome. The memory capacity is a bit of a bottleneck nowadays, but you get top-notch sound quality for $10. The Astell & Kern XB10 is a great option if you have another apt-x HD bluetooth device to pair it with. I have a Shozy Alien on the way that I'm looking forward to trying too.
